The Kawasaki Ninja HR2 is a motorcycle released by the Kawasaki company in the first quarter of 2015, introducing notable advancements from the H2R and H2 series. Boasting the world's first supercharger-powered engine according to Kawasaki, the Ninja HR2 is equipped with a Dog-Ring transmission, also known as a "dual-clutch transmission," designed to deliver uninterrupted power transmission at high speeds.

In June 2015, during an inter-race demonstration lap, TT race competitor James Hillier achieved impressive speeds on a Kawasaki Ninja H2R while utilizing standard Superbike slick race tires. This performance led to setting a top speed record in the Isle of Man by a motorcycle.

On June 30, 2016, five-time world champion Supersport circuit-racer Kenan Sofuoglu made a top speed attempt on a stock Ninja H2R provided by Kawasaki. Fitted with special-formula rubber tires developed by Pirelli to withstand extreme speeds and fueled with race-grade fuel, the bike achieved remarkable results.

Kawasaki claimed a maximum speed of 380 kilometers per hour (240 mph) for the Ninja H2R, but after rigorous training and preparation, video evidence showed a recorded speed of 400 kilometers per hour (250 mph) in just 26 seconds.

Cycle World's Kevin Cameron had previously speculated that with optimized gearing, the Ninja H2R's engine power could potentially overcome aerodynamic drag up to speeds ranging from 250 to 260 miles per hour (400–420 km/h).

The street-legal Ninja HR2 features rear-view mirrors instead of the track-only H2R's wings and plastic body panels in place of carbon fiber material used in the Ninja H2R. With an output of 200 horsepower (150 kW), the street-legal version likely operates with reduced supercharger boost compared to its racing counterpart.

For enthusiasts, in 2017 Kawasaki introduced a limited-edition model of the Ninja HR2 known as the Carbon version, with only 120 units produced worldwide. This exclusive model boasts special paint and a carbon-fiber upper cowl. The standard model of the Kawasaki Ninja HR2 was also updated for the same year.
